The Craft Behind It

I'm Cameron, a photographer and filmmaker based in Sacramento, CA. I learned this craft directly from my father, a three-time Emmy Award-winning videographer and director of photography with more than 35 years in television broadcasting and video production. Long before I picked up a camera myself, I was on set watching him work: large-scale event coverage, network news interviews, multi-camera live broadcasts, campaigns that had to be right on the first take.

Three years into running my own studio, that foundation still shows up in every shoot: how I light a room, how I read a moment before it happens, how I stay steady when a live event doesn't go to plan. It's the same standard I bring to headshots, corporate events, and client films. Work built to hold up under a real budget, because it was done right for decades before I ever touched a camera.

Not everything on this site was shot for a client. Some of it is just me, chasing a frame I couldn't get out of my head. That's here too. Because the eye you bring when no one's paying you is the same eye you bring when they are.

Why Work With Me

01

Trained by the best, not a workshop.

My father spent 35+ years in broadcast television and won three Emmys along the way. I learned this craft standing next to him on real sets, not in a weekend course.

02

One hire covers photo and film.

No coordinating two vendors or two invoices. I shoot both, so your event is documented in stills and motion from the same eye.

03

Real institutional experience already.

I've worked with the Crocker Art Museum, Make-A-Wish Northeastern & Central California, and the Sacramento Family Justice Center. These are organizations that don't take chances on who they hand their story to.

04

Comfortable with stories that matter.

The Family Justice Center work meant covering survivors with care and discretion. If I can handle that responsibly, your gala or product launch is in steady hands.

05

You get me, not a rotating crew.

I'm behind the camera personally on every shoot. No subcontracted stranger showing up on the day.

06

Ready to travel.

Based in Northern California, I'm able to travel throughout the state and beyond for the right project.
